During the month of March, the Monmouth Police Department made 44 criminal arrests, issued 107 citations, handled 1,443 calls of service, the dispatch center took in 2,995 calls, responded to 16 accidents, and the officers worked 46 grant hours, which Police Chief Joe Switzer says those numbers are slightly above this time last year:

“It evs and flows throughout the year, that is about average. I think we are down a little bit as compared to this time last year on the arrests, but we are up in citations, calls, dispatch calls, accidents, and grant hours. We do a lot of things throughout the month and our totals right now as it stands, we are a little bit above what we were this time last year.”

Chief Switzer informs arrests made by the department have been both misdeamor and felony related incidents.
