Another grant cycle through the Galesburg Community Foundation has closed and seven local organizations will be receiving funds to further their projects and programs. Trevor Davies, with the Monmouth Community Fund Advisory Board of Directors, shares those benefiting from not only the Monmouth Community Fund, but through co-granting with the other established community funds:

“The Buchanan Center for the Arts, we did the ‘Arts for All,’ which the Buchanan Center does so much for the kids in our community. Strom Center does so much for our senior citizens and they are remodeling the second floor of Strom Center and we wanted to be a part of helping them do that. Then Warren Achievement Center, they are working on a program called ‘Achieving Greatness,’ which is a program on dementia. We worked with Alexis and Knoxville in helping CASA with volunteer recruitment. The Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank, again we worked with Knoxville Community Fund. The Warren County Public Library, their Summer Reading Program, we worked with Roseville’s Community Fund. Also, the Warren County YMCA, their Kid’s Summer Camp. The Alexis Community Fund worked with us on helping them with that.”

Over $17,000 was granted back into Warren County.
