This Wednesday, May 15th, the West Central Board of Education will hold their monthly meeting in the Elementary Cafeteria beginning with a Public Hearing, informs Superintendent Stacey Day:
“We have been working the last couple of months on our 10-year Health Life Safety Survey and trying to get that finalized through the state and part of that process is a Public Hearing. Anytime you are asking to do some paving work, patching some spots in our parking lots, but the requirement by the state is that we have to hold a Public Hearing to be able to use those funds for it. May is big for us, our buildings present their school improvement plans, that will give us the direction for each building next year. We will talk summer projects, we have some hiring to do for the next school year. We are always looking for custodians, cooks, bus drivers; we have a paraprofessional position that we have not filled yet. My middle school principal position is still open and teaching staff wise, we are still looking for a Special Education teacher, so if somebody is interested in that, we have a spot available.”
The final day of school for West Central students is May 21st, with the last day for teachers the following day.
