Downtown Monmouth Streetscape Beautification Gets Green Light

Share

Monmouth City Council has approved a bid for the Downtown Streetscape Beautification Project, reports Mayor Rod Davies:

“Porter Brothers Construction was the low bid of $3,108,661 and then we had the alternate bids of two through eleven, which brought the total of the project up to $3,542,000. They will begin on the four entry ways into the square area and building up the boulevard and medians. The foreman was there to say that he is going to be engaged and hand his card out to all the businesses around the square and the four quadrants to ensure that everyone is aware of what is going on or if they have concerns, he is available to receive them. Then Hutchinson will also have inspectors there to make sure everything is going along as planned.”

Mayor Davies informs Porter Brothers Construction is expected to begin the Downtown Streetscape project after the 4th of July.
