Stone-Hayes Launches New Program Enabling Increased Independence

Stone-Hayes Center for Independent Living is a non-residential, nonprofit agency that assists persons with disabilities and those transitioning out of a nursing home to live safely independently. Sarah Nelson, Adult Transition Coordinator, explains a new program that has launched:

“We just started a Home Modification Program and this will help with installation of ramps, it will help with living spaces to meet your needs. If your doorways need to be widened. There is just a lot of things that this Home Modification Program covers. It is definitely worth a call to see if we are able to help you.”

Stone-Hayes serves individuals in Knox, Warren, and Henderson Counties.
