Warren County 4-H BBQ, Tuesday, June 4th

Share

This Tuesday, Warren County 4-H will host its annual BBQ to benefit 4-H members in programs and members in the county. Shelby Carlson, University of Illinois Youth Development Educator, says the BBQ will be held at the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau building and Abingdon High School on Tuesday, June 4th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

“They’re learning such valuable skills when they’re working at that barbecue. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had someone say like, oh yeah, of course, I know how to do XYZ,” explains Carlson. “We had to do that at the barbecue every year. Great skills, and then of course to a great cause.”

Tickets are still available for a free-will donation. Each meal will include a porkchop sandwich, chips, baked beans, applesauce, dessert, and a drink.
