Western Smokehouse Partners’ Expansion Sparks Economic Growth Locally

Share

Local snack stick producer, Western Smokehouse Partners, has announced they are expanding their production in Galesburg, shares Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer:

“The expansion is going to lead to the company adding ten high paid office positions at their headquarter building in Downtown Galesburg. They are also going to add fifteen production jobs at the Thrushwood Farms plant on West Main Street. The City of Galesburg provided a $300,000 incentive to assist in the growth, but that incentive is going to yield an annual increase in payroll of the company of over $2 million in the community. This is a really, really good deal. Food processing is just a core growth industry for our entire region.”

Western Smokehouse Partners was formed in 2019 when Western’s Smokehouse and Thrushwood Farms combined to form one company.
