The 2024 Henderson County Fair is underway all week at the fairgrounds in Stronghurst and this year’s royalty is ready to represent. 9-year-old Avise Rodeffer was crowned Little Miss Henderson County and shares her confidence helped her succeed in the pageant process:
“First, we went into our interview, and I felt really confident going in and confident coming out. They said I did a really good job, so I was really excited. Also, there were really good other girls there, so I was kind of scared, but when it was time for our dance, I just hoped I didn’t forget a part.”
1st Runner up for the Little Miss Henderson County was Bella Root and 2nd Runner up was Aline Bigger. 12-year-old Kynleigh Fox was crowned the 2024 Junior Miss Henderson County, who shares her pop question at the pageant:
“My pop question was, what do you think one of the biggest problems pre-teens face today is? I think it is technology because I love to go outside, but being on your screen can be so tempting and I think social media has a positive and negative impact between connecting with people, but also giving you unrealistic expectations about yourself and others.”
Kynleigh was also the 2021 Little Miss Henderson County. Rounding out the 2024 Junior Miss Royalty Court, 1st Runner up was Marli Allen and 2nd Runner up was Madisyn Gridley. And your 2024 Miss Henderson County Fair Queen is 19-year-old Lainey Mills:
“I started my morning off about 9 am with my little sister, she was the 2023 Junior Miss Henderson County. My interview was at 1:30 that afternoon. I went in there confident and felt that was going to be the best part of my pageant day. After our interviews, we had lunch with the judges, and went back to the West Central Middle School where we had our pageant and got ready for our dances and a fantastic night. My first pop question was, did I believe that volunteering should be required in high school? I said that it should not, however it should be promoted. I love volunteering, it is one of my favorite things in the world, however you never know everyone else’s circumstances.”
The 1st Runner up in the Miss Henderson County Queen Royalty was Liberty Miller and 2nd Runner up was Elizabeth Hinton.
