Beverly Ann Chamberlain, 86, of Monmouth, died at 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.

She was born December 7, 1937, in Mount Union, Iowa, the daughter of Vivan Maurice and Ruth Carolyn (Traut) Snyder. Beverly graduated from Galesburg High School in 1955. She was joined in marriage to the love of her life, Walter W. Chamberlain, on January 13, 1957, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2016. Beverly was a dedicated homemaker, mother, and caregiver. In her free time, she selflessly cared for others, assisting them in their day-to-day tasks.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Cindy Chamberlain of Toulon, Illinois, and Colette Verran of Daytona Beach, Florida; five grandchildren: Brandon Appenheimer of Toulon, Megan (Nathan) Lane of Toulon, Katie Appenheimer of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Adam and Jeremy Verran, both of Daytona Beach; five great-grandchildren: Brian Hegwood of Galva, Illinois, Michelle, Hailey, and Jonathan Lane of Toulon, and Colin Barber of Salisbury; one sister, Evelyn (Rev. Herbert) Peak of Bristol, Tennessee; a special nephew, Mike Blackburn of Portsmouth, Virginia; and special friend, Mike Hall of Abingdon, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Walter; and two grandsons, Chad Appenheimer and Cody Welch.

Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She loved cardinals and had an amazing collection of cardinal related items. Beverly was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be deeply missed.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Jersey Cemetery in West Jersey, Illinois.
