Brian D. Vollbracht, age 48, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 8:05 pm on Wednesday July 3, 2024 at his Monmouth residence. Brian was born on January 9, 1976 in Monmouth, and is the son of Carl Wayne Vollbracht, Sr. and Linda Lou (Garner) Louck. Brian was raised in Monmouth and attended Monmouth Public Schools and Monmouth High School. Brian enjoyed Motocycles and enjoyed riding, repairing, and working on them. He loved his fish and had numerous aquariums. He also raised German Rottweilers and had several throughout his life. Brian liked hangin’ out and was always his-own-self. 

He is survived by his daughter, Kristina Vollbracht in Colorado and his parents, Carl W. Vollbracht, Sr. of Monmouth, IL and his mother, Linda Louck and Tom, also of Monmouth, Illinois. His brothers survive, Jeremy Vollbracht and Carl Vollbracht, Jr, both of Monmouth, Illinois. Brian’s Maternal Aunts, Penny McVey of Monmouth, IL and Susie Dixon and Dave of Auburn, Illinois also are surviving along with her Maternal Uncles, Mike Dutton and Maggie and Rusty Garner and Mary, both of Monmouth, Illinois. Brian’s Paternal Aunt, Connie Vollbracht of Galesburg, Illinois, and three uncles survive, Jim Vollbracht and Beth of Kirkwood, Illinois, Richard Vollbracht of Monmouth, Illinois and Gene Vollbracht of Dahinda, Illinois. He is preceded in his death by his Grandparents, One Uncle, and One Aunt.

A celebration of his life for his family and friends is planned on July 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Monmouth Park. Cremation has been accorded. Privately, his ashes are to be interred in Oquawka Cemetery by his family. A memorial fund has been established. Two Fatalities in Galesburg Fire

The Galesburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 559 N. Cherry Street this morning, September 27, 2024, at 3:20 AM.  The response included all three stations and the 11 personnel
