Jason Robbins, local entrepreneur and current owner of the Wyatt Earp Birthplace, approached the Monmouth City Council about purchasing a city owned vacant lot, with plans to transform the space into a Tombstone Town, explains City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher:
“We had an offer on a city owned vacant lot at 416 South 4th Street from Jason Robbins. Jason owns the Wyatt Earp home, which is two lots from this city owned vacant lot and he expressed an interest in acquiring that. He is in the process of creating a lodging facility and recreation of an old Tombstone type western town along with the Wyatt Earp home. He offered to purchase that property from the city for $5,000 and incorporate it into the redevelopment of his Wyatt Earp Tombstone lodging facility.”
Monmouth City Council approved the request and will sell the vacant lot at 416 South 4th Street to Jason Robbins.
