John Deere Confirms Cuts at East Moline, Davenport and in Dubuque Plants

John Deere is confirming that the company is making cuts at the plants in East Moline, Davenport and in Dubuque.  More than 600 production workers will be laid off at those facilities.  The layoffs go into effect on August 30th.  The Moline-based equipment maker says cuts are being made due to reduced demand for the equipment these plants produce.
