Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education Leaves Cell Phone Decisions Up to Each Building

At the recent Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education meeting, discussion of cell phone usage in the classroom was on the docket, with the Board deciding it should be left up to each building administration and staff, explains Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“They decided that each building administrator in conjunction with their staff, have the ability to ban them if they are a nuisance around the school. There are teachers who probably use cell phones in instruction, not all the time, but there are times when they can be a useful tool. So, the administrators in our district will have the ability to come up with a comprehensive plan.”

The next Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education monthly meeting is set for Tuesday, August 13th.
