The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® Foundation is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipients. Due to the generosity of the Twomey Family Foundation, memorials in honor of loved ones, support from our members and area businesses, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation can assist nineteen applicants this year in furthering their education in agriculture. Each of this year’s recipients will receive a total of $1,300 for the 2024-25 academic year.
The Foundation started awarding scholarships in 1994 and since that time has awarded 412 scholarships and almost $350,000 to students continuing their education in an agricultural field of study.
Meet one of this year’s recipients: Spencer Jack
Spencer Jack attends the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is majoring in crop sciences. While at U of I, he is involved in the livestock judging team, Ag Business club, Collegiate Farm Bureau as well as the Field and Furrow club. In his spare time, Spencer enjoys golfing, lawn care, tinkering with cars, working with livestock, and going to the gym. Future plans for Spencer include starting a career in the agronomy industry. He hopes to work for Frontline Genetics as an agronomist or in the sales portion of the business. Spencer is the son of David Jack and Amanda Jack of Stronghurst.
