Arrest Warrant Issued after Weekend Homicide

As previously reported, the Galesburg Police Department responded to 1435 Moshier Avenue at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in reference to a shooting incident. At that time, Heath D. Williams, Sr. was located with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided life-saving measures and Williams was transported to the St. Mary Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment. Williams died at the hospital at approximately 11:30 p.m. that evening.

As a result of the ongoing investigation of this incident, an arrest warrant has been issued for Christopher E. Alfaro, age 27, for first-degree murder, and aggravated battery.

This case is still under active investigation. Anyone with information on the location of Alfaro, or any information regarding this case is asked to contact the Galesburg Police Department at (309) 343 9151.
