Beau Admire was sentenced to 28 years in prison for repeatedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl who was training at his gym at the time of the offenses, having been found guilty of three separate offenses by Judge James R. Standard May 30, 2024
Initially, the Court took up two post-trial motions filed by the defense alleging errors relating to the trial. The judge denied both motions before proceeding to a sentencing hearing.
At the sentencing hearing, the defendant offered numerous witness statements in support of his character and conduct. The prosecutor offered the testimony of two witnesses who told the court the defendant engaged in inappropriate conduct with them while they trained at the defendant’s gym. The victim also gave a victim impact statement before the judge handed down his ruling. The defendant to make any statement on his own behalf.
The defendant was sentenced to 10 years each on Count I and II, to be served at “85%” plus 8 years at “50%” on Count III. Under Illinois law, the sentences must run consecutively. The defendant argued that Count III should be served concurrently, an argument rejected by the judge. The defendant is likely to serve approximately 21 years of the sentence imposed.
The defendant is anticipated to appeal the verdict and the sentence.
