The Maple City Street Machines Cruise Night will take over the streets of Monmouth this Friday, August 2nd. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer reminds motorists and local residents that streets will begin being blocked off at 6:30 am:

“We are going to start setting up for the car show and blocking streets at 6:30 am on Friday morning. We will have a crew of officers and other people out setting barricades up. Cars will start filling in and vendors will start coming in. There is so many people trying to walk and look at the cars, don’t bring your bicycle in, there is no need to bring dogs, there is just way too many people. No golf carts are allowing in the car show. A couple of the officers will be on the outskirts of the car show to be able to get from point “a” to point “b” quickly. Just try to keep the bicycles out, the dogs out, and no golf carts.”

The actual Cruise Night event takes place from 4 to 8 pm.
