Currently in their fourth generation, Midwestern Pet Foods is a family-owned and operated business. Locally at their plant in Monmouth, expansions and renovations are taking place, which will increase capacity by 50 percent, shares Plant Manager Stewart Riske:

“In the next, I’d say 15 months or so, we will be adding a new extruder to the mix, increasing our capacity by about 50 percent. We are looking for a soft start hopefully in October of 2025. We have a lot of bells and whistles that are coming with that, new product tanks, repeat software system that we utilize to control all of the manufacturing that is going on within the company. It is not just guys going around and pulling levers and pushing buttons, it is driven through a software and it is pretty slick to see that.”

Midwestern Pet Foods also has locations in New York and Oklahoma, with their headquarters located in Evansville.
