With school just a week away for the Monmouth-Roseville School District, projects at the Junior High and High School are coming down to the wire, reports Superintendent Ed Fletcher:
“On the facility side of things, at the High School and Junior High is where we have some projects that are coming down to the wire. At the Junior High we have some science rooms and labs that are being updated. We are fairly confident that by Friday those rooms will be finished. At the High School, we have the bathroom remodel project. We are looking at hopefully by Monday evening all the restrooms will be functional. We have the third floor right now that are functional, the second floor is almost completed, but it is the first floor that is kind of dragging a little bit. The contractor says they are sending people over the weekend and are working as hard as they can during the day to make it a reality.”
August 19th and 20th will be teacher institute days, with backpack night on Tuesday, August 20th, the first day of school for kindergarten through 9th graders on the 21st and 10th through 12th graders will report Thursday, August 22nd.
