United students will head back to the classroom this week as another school year arrives. Superintendent Tom Hawkins shares the back-to-school schedule for the different grade levels:

“First day of school is Thursday (August 15th) and we will start with our pre-k through 9th graders. Then on Friday our sophomores through seniors will be joining us. We have a three-day institute starting Monday. We have a lot of training that is going on. We will have our welcome back to the district, but we also have a big day of training. We have switched our Student Information System, as well as our Grading Platform to a new product called Teacher Ease. Then the next two days are basically building focused, and our principals have a schedule for all of their teachers.”

Superintendent Hawkins reports that just over 1,000 students are enrolled in the United School District for the 2024-2025 school year.
