Between renovations for a new childcare center and the relocation of the Marketplace, 2024 has been a busy year for the Jamieson Community Center, shares Executive Director Nancy Mowen:

“We still have a couple components we are waiting on; water lead testing is one and our rubber mulch for the playground and we will be set for the inspection from the state. We have another project going on thanks to the Pattee Foundation. That is a new location at 1120 South Main Street. Renovations are going really well in that space. We anticipate construction being completed in October and then we will start the move. We will have our Marketplace moving into that space. That is our Thrift Store and our Food Pantry.”

Director Mowen informs they are seeking teachers for their childcare center, which will assist children from six weeks old to age 12 and also provide before and after school care.
