On June 20th, off duty Alexis Police Officer Chris Fredrickson was involved in a head on collision on her way home from Galesburg. To assist with home updates for medical accessibility and expenses, Chris’ family and friends are hosting a benefit tomorrow, Saturday, September 21st in Alexis, shares Chris’ niece Lila Woods:
“Everything is going to be at the Community Center; the live auction, the silent auction, and we will have food there, pork chops, smoked pulled pork, and it is going to be by free will donation. The car show we are having the streets blocked off by the park in Alexis. It is a $20 entry fee per vehicle. We are going to judge in three classes. We have the Kid’s Corner that will have face painting, and they get to do their own little arts and crafts project there. The Bags Tournament is $40 a team. $20 of that automatically is going back to the Chris Fredrickson Benefit.”
The Bags Tournament and live music will take place out front of Jigg’s Tavern. For complete details on tomorrow’s Chris Fredrickson Benefit, search the event on Facebook.
