Fighting Scots Golfers Start Season at Highland Championships

The Monmouth golf teams started the 2024-25 season at the Highland Championships in the Quad Cities on Sunday and Monday. The women’s team did not record a team score while the men finished 18th.

On the women’s side, Annalyn Lovell (Oneida, Illinois) finished 65th with a 105-100-205 +61. Lexie Campbell (Earlville, Illinois) was 69th with a 120-105-225 for +81.

Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) led the men with a 29th place finish. He shot 75 on both days for a +6 150. Ganon Greenman (Alpha, Illinois) shot 78-74-152 for a +8 152 to finish in a tie for 41st place. Thomas Henson (Geneseo, Illinois) and Declan Flynn (Monmouth, Illinois) tied for 103rd with a total of 169,. Henson went 82-87 while Flynn was 83-86. Cole Reavis (Buena Vista, Colorado) was 108th with a 92-85-177.

Both teams are next in action as hosts of the Fighting Scot Fall Invite at Gibson Woods on Sept. 14 and 15.
