First Annual Walk & Wag will Benefit Freedom Ride Animal Rescue’s Mission

This Saturday, September 21st, Freedom Ride Animal Rescue will host their 1st Annual 5K and 1 mile Walk and Wag Fun Run. Phil Cooper shares how proceeds will help benefit their mission:

“We are pretty fortunate as a non-profit rescue in that our overhead costs are very minimal because we don’t have a building. So, yes, we do need donations to help us transport and we have just other normal business costs, like insurance, but the other thing that we do that we don’t advertise a lot, but it is the heart and soul of who we are; we give quite frequently to other rescues and projects.”

Registration for the 5K and 1 mile Walk and Wag begins at 9 am at the First Chirstian Church in Monmouth, with the 5K beginning at 10 am and the 1 mile at 10:30 am.
