The Galesburg Police Department in partnership with the Regional Office of Education will host a free car seat installation and safety check on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Galesburg Public Safety Building. Interested participants can stop by this free event to receive assistance installing a car seat or verify their child is in the appropriate type of car seat. The event will be hosted in the west parking lot, accessible from Cedar Street, between Tompkins and Simmons Street.
