Founded in 1908 the NAACP’s mission is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all individuals. Since the local chapter reactivated in 2012, it has been at the forefront of our city’s tough issues and they continue to challenge and stand-up against injustice.
