A balanced budget was approved by the Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education at the recent meeting, where enrollment and the number of English Language students was discussed, reports Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“Our enrollment, we are about 1,477 right now, down a little bit from last year, down about 15 students. For us it really ebbs and flows, some years we are down 33 and then one year we were up 84, it just really ebbs and flows over time. Our bilingual, ESL, and former ESL enrollment, since the inception of it in 2006-2007 combined district, we have increased 583 percent. We have about 414 of our 1,477 kids are bilingual, ESL, or former ESL students.”

Furthermore, Superintendent Fletcher shares the Monmouth-Roseville School District operates on a $22 million budget.
