Monmouth native Sean Cavanaugh has announced he is running for Mayor of Monmouth. Cavanaugh, who has served on the Warren County Board for the last 14 years and is the Marketing Coordinator at Warren Achievement Center, shares his platform for candidacy:

“I am going to be a very positive candidate. I have been going out and listening to people, businesses and individuals, hearing their concerns. We need more income, more economic development, more housing in town. We have to maintain our infrastructure. Be visible. Be available. I want to make sure our employers have what they want. Our largest employers they are absolutely vital to us. If the College is doing well, Monmouth is doing well, and if Monmouth is doing well, the College is doing well; same goes for any business in town. We want to make sure they have what they need to succeed, in addition to the individuals in our city. I want to be there for Monmouth. I say, ‘Sean Cavanaugh for Monmouth, Sean Cavanaugh for you.’ I am absolutely 100 percent sincere that I will give it my all to be the best Mayor that I can be.”

Cavanaugh will appear on the ballot for Mayor of Monmouth during the Primary Election April 1st of 2025.
