Trevor L. Frieden, 58, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born on May 5, 1966 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Theodore M. Frieden and Carol Ann (Anderson) Stombaugh.  Trevor was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1984. 

Trevor married Susan K. Martin on October 7, 1995 in Monmouth, IL; she survives. 

Trevor worked at the Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg for many years as the Commissary Supply Officer.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals & Chicago Bears fan.  Trevor enjoyed watching NASCAR, shopping and attending his families’ sporting events and activities.  He was a United Red Storm Hall of Famer, jack of all trades and Monmouth’s local handyman.  Trevor enjoyed delivering seed or sitting in a tractor.    Trevor never knew a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone whenever needed.

Surviving Trevor is his wife, Susan Frieden of Monmouth, IL; his children, Dalton Frieden of Jacksonville, FL, Brody Frieden of Scottsdale, AZ, Zac Frieden of Jacksonville, FL; his parents, Ted (Mag) Frieden of Monmouth, IL, Carol (Ron) Stombaugh of Monmouth, IL; his siblings, Greg (Joni) Frieden of Mendon, IL, and Wendy Wayland of Kahoka, MO.  Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A Celebration of Life will be from 12:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Market Alley Wines (59 Public Square, Monmouth, IL).  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and can be sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
