The United Red Storm varsity football team jumped back into action on Friday night, taking on Rushville-Industry in week 2 of the early season. The Rushville Industry Rockets came out strong with two touchdowns in the first quarter but couldn’t convert on both two-point conversion opportunities. The Rockets scored once again at the beginning of the second quarter, but the Red Storm held the Rockets from getting the two-point conversion. The Red Storm started to fight back with a touchdown pass from Kellen Boone to Chance Stewart in the second quarter but unfortunately couldn’t finish the two-point conversion try. After the half both teams didn’t score so the final score was 18-6 with the Rushville Industry Rockets coming out on top this week. The United Red Storm are now 0-2 on the season coming out of week 2, they will host Annawan/Wethersfield next Friday.
