Following the completion of the northeast quadrant in the Downtown Monmouth Beautification project, construction will move to the northwest quadrant in front of the Warren County Courthouse, creating a change in how persons will enter inside, explains Board Chairman Mike Pearson:

“We really only have one ADA accessible avenue to get in, which is the east door, but when they tear up the northwest quadrant, you are not going to be able to come directly into the courthouse like we do today. In front of the jail there is an angling sidewalk that goes from the front corner of the jail, across the north side of the courthouse, and there is a sidewalk that has a ramp that you can come up. You will walk on the north side of the courthouse, come around on the sidewalk, and come in the east door. So, the east door is still going to be used, but you will come in from a totally different direction.”

As for the renovations occurring at the Warren County Courthouse, project milestones have been set where the organization receives a portion of the agreed upon fee and then when the total project is completed, which is anticipated to be in October, they will receive the remaining $109,000 of the contract.
