Lincoln Early Childhood is the WMOI/WRAM October School Spotlight, courtesy of MTC Communications and the Regional Office of Education #33. Principal Joe Pilger highlights the building and their gold-rated pre-school program, as the students and staff are deep into another school year:

“Lincoln is pre-school, kindergarten, and 1st Grade students. We have about 360 kids in seven sections of kindergarten, seven sections of 1st Grade, and five sections of preschool, two of which are half-day programs. We are on year two of a new ELA curriculum, it is going really well, and year three of a new math curriculum, and we are excited to see what that does to our academic achievement. A really neat program that we have to help provide some embedded tutoring during the school day, that is what our Future Forward program is. Trisha Olendzki is our Instructional Coordinator for that program and Rebecca Reynolds is our Family Engagement Coordinator. Our preschool program, Tiny Titans, earlier in September, we received the recognition that our ECERS Monitor visit from the state, where they come in and gauge and test everything that we do, we got a gold rating, which is incredible.”

Additionally, the week of October 21st through the 26th is Principal Appreciation week, and the Monmouth-Roseville School District will celebrate Amy Frieden, Katy Morrison, Amy Freitag, Emily Adolphson, Aaron Sikorski, Eric Matthews, Nate Johnson, and Joe Pilger.
