MDH Offering Flu Vaccines in the Drive-Thru

McDonough District Hospital announced an expanded availability schedule for flu vaccinations inside the Drive-Thru.

Patients can receive a flu vaccination any time Monday-Friday during normal business hours, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Individuals need to bring their insurance card and ID. MDH will bill the patient’s insurance provider for the vaccination.

For those with no insurance or a high-deductible insurance plan, patients can pay by check or debit/credit card at the Drive-Thru. The cost is $45 for individuals under 65 years of age, and anyone 65 and older a high dose flu vaccination cost is $55.

The Convenience Clinic inside Health Services Building 2 in Macomb is open seven days a week for walk-in flu vaccinations: Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. (closed from 1-2 p.m.) and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The MDH Monmouth Convenience Clinic also offers walk-in flu vaccinations Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

The MDH Family Clinic and Bushnell Family Practice will also offer flu vaccinations during normal business hours. Patients will need to call and schedule an appointment.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends an age appropriate vaccination for the flu. Two flu vaccines will be available, one for ages 18-64 and another for age 65 and older. Anyone under the age of 18 should contact their primary care provider. Participants are asked to wear a short sleeve shirt as all shots are given in the upper arm.
