Randolph “Randy” C. Griffin, 70, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.

He was born on February 22, 1954 in Monmouth, IL the son of Arnold J. and Anna Mae (Ludington) Griffin.  Randy was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1972. 

After high school, he went to work at Gale Products in Galesburg as a tool and die maker and worked there till they closed.  Randy then was an owner/operator truck driver for many years until going to work at Big River Resources.  He also owned and operated Randy’s Auto Body in Monmouth.  Randy loved racing and working on cars.  He was a big sports fan, especially the Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals.  Randy enjoyed going fishing.  Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Surviving Randy are his sons, Craig Griffin and Jeramiah Griffin, both of Monmouth, IL; his sisters, Penny Mackey of Monmouth, IL and Ginger (Marty) Neal of Hillsboro, MO; eight grandchildren, Drayson, Kiana, Mhylkah, Noreana, August, Hope, Jeramiah, Jr., Alyssa; three great grandchildren; one step son, Tracy Yoder; six step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Brenda Dutton Ischer, Sheila Griffin; step daughter, Tiffany Yoder Wilson.

A Celebration of Life will be at Noon, Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 4 Star Bar & Grill (300 East 11th Ave., Monmouth, IL 61462).  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to Western Illinois Animal Rescue or Monmouth Nursing Home and can be sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
