Shirley K. Conn, 89, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.

Shirley was born December 23, 1934 in LaSalle, IL, the daughter of Aloysius I. and Dorothy (Miller) Pyszka.  She was raised and educated in LaSalle.  Following her graduation from LaSalle-Peru High School in 1951.  Shirley later graduated from Beauty College.

She was a successful business owner, owning her own Beauty Salon, Shirley’s Shop, for 45 years in Greeley CO.

Shirley was born and raised a devote Catholic and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley and most recently was attending Immaculate Conception in Monmouth.  She loved to read, music and square dance. She loved her spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her 3 children, Mark J. (Melinda) Conn of Ballwin, MO, Mary Conn-Duvall and David J. Conn both of Monmouth; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and her sister, Ellen Kelley of Hudson, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James O. Conn and her sister, Elizabeth Happ.
