Traffic Laws Still Apply When Following Farm Machinery

As harvest is in full swing and the daylight hours are slowly getting shorter, Henderson County Sheriff Matt Link reminds motorists to stay safe on the roadways and abide those traffic laws:

“Please do not pass them in No Passing Zones. The law is still the same if you are behind a tractor or if you are behind a vehicle. If it is a No Passing Zone, it’s a no passing zone. It is there for a reason because your line of sight is not long enough to see if there is an oncoming vehicle to get around to avoid those collisions. So, please do not pass any equipment in No Passing Zones when it is not allowed. It is very dangerous.”
