As farm financial needs change to fit new operations and management styles, FarmOp Capital and Compeer Financial today announced a new partnership to bring additional lending opportunities to Midwestern farmers.

The partnership will make FarmOp Capital’s lending products available to farmers in 144 Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin counties served by Compeer Financial. Supported by Compeer Financial’s resources, the partnership allows farmers to work with the Compeer Financial representatives they already know and trust.

“At Compeer Financial, we are proud to champion the hopes and dreams of hardworking farmers across the upper Midwest,” said Terry Hinds, Chief New Markets Assurance Officer for Compeer Financial. “We know farm operations and business models continue to evolve and, as a result, they need customized financial options. FarmOp Capital’s history of working with growth-minded farmers adopting new business models will allow us to open new doors for more farmers in our territory.”

Alongside farmers with strong balance sheets due to land, equipment and other assets are a host of new and younger operators who are building their operations, bushel by bushel, on rented ground. Those farmers often don’t fit a traditional lending model and need options tailored to their specific operations, said FarmOp Capital CEO Keir Renick.

“We’re excited to work with Compeer Financial to bring new products and options to help farmers grow their operations,” Renick said. “The farming landscape is changing and we know, with that change, farmers need additional flexibility and expanded options that fit their finances and farms.”

The new financial offerings are available through Compeer Financial representatives.
