Dame Fine Coffee is expanding. With established locations in West Burlington, Burlington, Monmouth, Galesburg, and Canton, Owner Dillan Vancil shares the operation is expanding into Stronghurst, which will include a restaurant, not just coffee:
“We are adding a sixth location in Stronghurst, my hometown. We have a lot of good things coming to Stronghurst and it is not only just coffee, we are going to have ice cream as well and the other half of the business, or the building, we will also have a restaurant and bar located in it. We purchased the formerly Rivals building in Stronghurst. We took that over here a couple weeks ago. We have done some demo and construction so far. We are going to put on a new addition. We will have Dame Fine Coffee, and we are going to bring Harper’s Ice Cream in up front. We will have a drive thru there. On the bar and restaurant side, a good friend of mine, Jesse Smith in Burlington, he owns The Broadway and Doris’ there in Burlington, he is going to come and be running the bar and restaurant.”
Vancil is hopeful to have the restaurant portion of the newly acquired building in Stronghurst to open New Years Eve with the coffee and ice cream to follow in the first part of 2025.
