IHSFCA All-State Teams for 2024

The Illinois High School Football Coaches Association has released their All-State teams. The West Central area was well-represented.

As far as 1st team members….in class 1A, Stark County senior RB/LB Nolan Orwig made the cut, as did fellow LincolnLand senior QB Jake Williams from Princeville. As far as the TRAC, Sterling Newman senior LB/RB Daniel Kelly was a 1st teamer, as well.

In class 2A on the 1st team, Rockridge senior DL/OL Jude Finch was joined by a pair of LincolnLand players, senior QB Lane Wheelwright from Farmington and senior RB/LB Bo Windish from Elmwood/Brimfield.

Congratulations go out to Monmouth-Roseville senior RB/DB Payton Thompson for a spot on the class 3A 1st team all-state list. Thompson rushed for over 1400 yards and scored a total of 22 touchdowns. A pair of Princeton Tigers made the 1st team, in senior OL/DL Cade Odell and senior TE/DB Noah LaPorte.

Kewanee senior Alejandro Duarte made the class 4A 1st team as a RB/LB.

Looking at the 8-man football first team…the Ridgewood Spartans had two players listed as senior RB/LB Roy Sandberg and junior TE/LB Wes Sandburg made the list.
