800 meals are expected to be served this Thursday as part of the Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Monmouth. Volunteer Scott McClintock shares how you can get involved:

“If you want to volunteer, I would ask you to call Highpoint Church, 309-715-7153. If you would like to volunteer for any task, setup is Wednesday, obviously there is tear down on Thursday, there are servers, if you want to deliver, we have the list of volunteers that we are keeping track of there. It is open to anybody; we just spearhead the event. This is a Monmouth community event, and it has been for the last 30 plus years, I believe. People have had their roles, and they just keep coming and volunteering and performing those tasks. It is just a good event for the community.”

Deliveries for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner begin at 11:30 am with carry-outs and dine-in starting at noon until 1:30 pm this Thursday. To schedule a delivery, call 309-368-4032.
