Monmouth-Roseville Titan Football Coaches Recap an Exciting 2024 Season and Look Ahead to 2025

The 2024 Monmouth-Roseville Titan football team had the best regular season in school history, going (8-1). That mark was more than enough to claim their first outright TRAC Mississippi Division title. The Titans would lose 22-20 to a very good Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panther squad in the first round of the playoffs. The Panthers scored a touchdown with 20.9 seconds remaining for the final points of the game.

Monmouth-Roseville was led by an outstanding senior group of skill position and linemen. Payton Thompson rushed for over 1400 yards and scored a total of 22 touchdowns on the season. Three of the next four players in total rushing yards could all be back in 2025, in sophomore Landon Montroy and juniors Nick Huston and Andrew Way. Monmouth-Roseville will also have to fill the quarterback position with Andy Myers graduating in the spring, as well. As far as the guys up front that provided the blocking for all those rushing yards, the Titans will lose the right side of the offensive line and a center. The Titans will return the left side of the line, with both being among the biggest kids on the roster in Brody Dodd and Landyn Angelo.

Defensively, it will be a mix of the top returning tacklers. Way led the team in tackles and Huston will bring his top sack and tackle for loss totals back with him. Top-four tacklers, Thompson and senior Dame Thiobou will graduate but there are plenty of underclassmen ready to make their mark on the program as well.

Monmouth-Roseville head coach Jeremy Adolphson says the seniors will certainly be missed but they have laid the groundwork for the teams that will follow.
