At the latest Monmouth City Council meeting, the Building a Zoning Report was presented by Director Clark, which provided updates on current projects within the city, explains Communications Director Ken Helms:

“The Beck’s Oil expansion and reconstruction they are doing on North Main, they have underground tanks competed there, they have the walls up to work on some interior stuff, so that project is actually moving along very quickly. Jimmy John’s on North Main is also moving very quickly. They are going to probably be operational in just the next two or three weeks. The ICS gymnasium is now 100 percent complete. The fire department and the zoning department issued occupancy permits. I’m sure they still have some landscaping and some other things to do on the outside, but the inside is good to go.”

On the Public Works side for the City of Monmouth, Phase 2 of the water main replacement on West Harlem Avenue is underway, which is the final phase before full reconstruction of the roadway.
