A new family restaurant is open in Monmouth at 220 South Main Street. Former Monmouth-Roseville Titan, Nanette Kapesa, is the Owner/Operator of Taste of Africa:

“The Taste of Africa all started with my mom. Back in 2019, she decided to start a catering business and also, she offered to-go meals as well. She has a very big passion in cooking and after that she wanted to open up her African food to more people and that is why she decided to start a restaurant. Her goal was to not only share the rich flavors of our culture, but also to provide something unique to the community, something that was not available locally, and also to give the African locals a taste of home.”

Taste of Africa is open Wednesday through Fridays 11:30 am to 9:30 pm, Saturdays 11:30 am to 11 pm, and Sundays 6:30 pm to 11 pm.
