The West Central Board of Education will hold their monthly meeting Wednesday, December 18th at 6 pm in the Elementary Cafeteria. Superintendent Stacey Day informs while one main point of discussion will be the district’s tax levy, the Board will be strategizing ways to recruit bus drivers:
“Everyone in the area is short bus drivers, we are really short, but we are making it work. So, we are really going to talk about how we can recruit some of our community members that are interested in driving a bus. It is so fun when a driver comes into the building and to watch especially all the little kids run up to them and excited to see them outside of the bus. Anyone that is interested can call the District Office, we will get you the information. It is $92.25 a day to drive a morning and an afternoon route. Between an hour and two hours in the morning and an hour or two hours in the afternoon. If somebody is not interested in every day, they just want to sub, fill in, just drive to games and help out taking our teams places, we are pretty flexible with what we can do; really just looking for some people to help us.”
