The University of Iowa will be taking on the University of Missouri on December 30th for the TransPerfect Music City Bowl in Nashville. Monmouth’s Zayda Martin will be among the students representing Iowa as a member of the marching band. She says this bowl game will be the third bowl game.

“I would describe it as electric. You have thousands of fans, and their eyes are always on you. The Hawkeye fans always show up for their team and especially for the band,” says Martin. “They love their band, and I assume Mizzou is the same as well. I’ve heard they also show up for their band and their team as well. But it’s, it, it’s quite an adrenaline rush, I will say.”

Martin will not be the only Monmouth-Roseville alumni performing at the game. Abigale Shell will be performing in the University of Missouri band.
