Seven Monmouth-Roseville students have been named Illinois State Scholars, reports Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“There is a formula that looks at class size, class rank, SAT scores, so on and so forth, really it is the top ten percent of the students in the state. For Monmouth-Roseville this year, Anders Bergren, Matthew Blackford, Sawyer Fletcher, Aiden Godina, Treasure Handzo, Nick Johnston, and Camilla Towado-Martinez were recognized as our Illinois State Scholars. They worked really hard for that accomplishment.”

Additionally, Yulissa Sparks has taken the Oath of Office and seated on the Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education until the April election, filling the vacancy created by Joe Bratcher’s resignation.
