Six seniors at United High School have been named Illinois State Scholars, shares Superintendent Tom Hawkins:

“This is something that is great and a huge congratulations for the efforts of these students over the many years of their educational experience in school. At our high school, we have six seniors that were recognized as Illinois State Scholars, and they are Samira Bitar, Rachel Purlee, Dylan Davis, Jack Kane, Madaline Lair, and Leyton Trego. A fantastic job to those kids.”

The United School District begins their winter break after school on Friday, December 20th, with teachers returning Friday, January 3rd and students Monday, January 6th.
