The Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education has passed their Tax Levy, which Superintendent Ed Fletcher expects the rate to be very similar:
“I’m certain it is going to be very similar to where it is at this year. Our rate has remained relatively the same the last few years. The EAV has gone up, which in situations like that our rate stays the same, but if a person’s EAV goes up, of course their taxes will go up along with that. So, I am anticipating probably around for the EAV side a three to three and a half percent increase. On the tax rate side, I think it will be very similar to what it was last year. The hard part about a levy is that we are trying to guess our EAV that doesn’t come out until May.”
The next monthly Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education meeting will be Tuesday, January 14th.
