THREE WARREN COUNTY DEPUTIES RECEIVE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARDS
On August 26, 2024, Deputy Brandon Seitz, Deputy Josh Smith and Deputy Dylan Tee responded to a suicidal subject call which turned out to be a bipolar schizophrenic armed with a handgun. The deputies secured the residence removing the family for their safety and then confronted the suicidal subject. The deputies contained the subject and negotiated with her for one hour and forty-five minutes to bring the matter to a successful conclusion with a peaceful surrender. The deputies are to be commended for their professionalism, which brought great credit to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
WARREN COUNTY DEPUTY RECEIVES FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE LIFESAVING AWARD
Deputy Jordan West was serving papers when he heard a Monmouth City call of a suicide by hanging and responded arriving within one minute to the scene. Deputy West observed a male subject hanging from the rafters with electrical cord wrapped around his neck and about two feet off the ground. Deputy West lifted the subject and ordered the father to undo the cord off the rafters Deputy West then began lifesaving procedures which resuscitated the victim saving his life. EMS arrived and transported the victim to the hospital. Deputy West’s actions exhibited true professionalism and compassion that demonstrates the Warren County Sheriff’s Office service to the community.
