William K. “Kenny” Robinson, 61, of Roseville, passed away at 4:52 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. He was born April 17, 1963, in Belton, Texas, the son of Roger and Patricia (Nixon) Robinson. He was raised and educated in Lewiston, Illinois, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1981.
He served in the United States Army from 1983 to 1989.
He married Rose Ann Booten on August 24, 2006, in South Carolina and they renewed their vows in the Catholic Church on March 24, 2016.
Those left to cherish his memory are; wife, Rose of Roseville; his father, Roger Robinson of Havana; brothers, Richie (Leslie) Robinson of Gallatin, TN, Scott (Sue) Robinson of Havana, Chris (Teresa) Robinson of Little America; children, Kenna Robinson of Lewiston, Jessica Robinson of North Carolina, Laurel (Cory) Parker of Bloomington; stepchildren, Jennifer (Fred) Lucas of Aledo, Jodi (Jeremie) Jennings, of Pecatonica, Bill Worley of McHenry; 11 grandchildren and his beloved dog Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his mother Pat and one son Kyle Robinson.
Kenny worked for Progress Rail in Galesburg as a heavy equipment operator for a number of years.
He loved attending auctions and collecting antiques. He also enjoyed participating in the demolition derby in his younger years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Immaculate Conception Church of Monmouth. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Rosary to begin at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be in the Roseville Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
